| ANCHORAGE, Alaska _ Exxon Mobil has drilled the first section of its first production well at the Point Thomson field on Alaska's North Slope. The Anchorage Daily News reports Exxon plans to complete the well by the end of next year and begin production by the end of 2014. The well is part of the first phase of Exxon's planned $1.3 billion natural gas cycling project at Point Thomson. |
